At Lewis Elementary, we have about 60 students involved in an after school chess club through a program called Chess For Success. Today Lewis is hosting a tournament with neighboring schools. I went in early to help with the set up and to make sure they had everything they needed. After the set up I was walking around talking with students and parents and noticed that one student's father was working away on his laptop. We have a building wide wireless network and he said he was getting a nice signal in the cafeteria and appreciated being able to get online while his son took part in the tournament. Another parent commented that next time she was going to bring her laptop.
