Fraser Speirs, the developer of Flickr Export, the great photo exporting tool for iPhoto has recently taken a new position as computing teacher and general IT person at Cedars School of Excellence. He has started a new weblog, Teaching 2.0 , where he discusses his work at the school, focusing on IT and technology integration issues.
Yes, we’ll teach the curriculum, but we’ll teach it with reference to the real world. To Wikipedia, Flickr, Gmail, Del.icio.us. We’ll teach them every last trick in the Google playbook so that they spend their time finding stuff out and not fighting with search engines.
His technology environment sounds similar to what we have at Lewis, so I'm looking forward to reading and learning about his work. Fraser also blogs at http://fraserspeirs.livejournal.com/
