The other day, Alan Levine mentioned the availability of talks from the TED conference. Today I finally got around to visiting the site and subscribed to the numerous talks. I just listened to the podcast of Majora Carter's TED talk. Carter is the founder of Sustainable South Bronx, "an organization dedicated to community development and sustainable projects that create jobs, protect the environment and bring green spaces to the inner city..."
It is a very inspiring and informative talk and fits in nicely with some of the work that our staff has been doing on sustainability issues with our partners from Portland State University.
