What’s a Readlist? A group of web pages—articles, recipes, course materials, anything—bundled into an e-book you can send to your computer, Kindle, iPad, or iPhone.

Like mixtapes for reading, Readlists allows anyone to take a group of articles from the web and bundle them into a custom e-book that can be sent directly to Kindle, iPad or iPhone

Readlists is a web site that allows you to take several separate web articles and bundle them into ebook format. You can choose to read them via a browser, but also share the epub file for use with epub readers. You can even send it to a Kindle. Another benefit is that Readlists strips out much of the sidebar clutter that you see when you visit the actual page.

For example… below i have separate links to some web articles about birds. Using Readlists, I have also created a separate ebook file that can be opened on iOS devices, or any device that reads the epub format.

When I first saw this service I thought of the times that teachers have created web pages that have lists of links to sites that they want their students to read. Most of the content on many web sites is wrapped in banners and sidebars that are designed to get the attention of the viewer. Not exactly what you want for your students when instead you just want them to concentrate on the reading.

All of this is a long way of saying that how we and our children read is changing. We need to keep this in mind
