Today, the U.S Department of Education points to a free resource from NASA that as far as I can tell, stopped adding content to it in 1999. Observatorium offers hundreds of photos of the earth, planets, stars, and other celestial bodies, as well as stories behind the images... they seem to have stopped adding content in 1999. Actually it says right on the web site that it is an archive of a project that ended in 1999. While many of the images are of interest, I kind of wonder why they feel the need to point to a site that is basically 6 years old... Though it does make one nostalgic when looking at those old pre-CSS pages...
