This morning, Eamonn Sullivan has a very good post about children and the Internet. He outlines some ideas for keeping children safe while using the Internet and suggests some strategies for monitoring and more importantly discussing with children their life on the Internet, and their lives in general.
Eamonn is one of those folks you end up meeting and learning a bit about because of the Internet. A few months back I read about an introduction to Flickr called Flickring Families that he had written. I started visiting his site and it is now one of the places I visit each day. I know we all say this all the time, but I am greatly amazed by the positive aspects of life on the Internet. The ability to connect and communicate and learn from so many people. Eamonn's one of those folks I learn from.
