Developed by Adriaan Tijsseling, Ballpark is a small Mac OS X app that loads Yahoo's MLB GameChannel information into a separate window which can float over others, or become part of the desktop background. By sticking it into the background, you can use Exposé to quickly hide all your open windows and reveal the gamechannel information.

The administrative interface allows you to control map width and height, zoom level, and also set the latitude and longitude of where your map is centered.... Having student research the local neighborhood history and then use a map such as this to tag the locations.

I sat down last week and printed out this article from Make, and walked through the steps of making an enhanced podcast. Of course I could of saved myself a bit of time if i had just gone to the end of the article where the author points to some tools to help with this process.

At Lewis Elementary School we are using Moveable Type to publish a weekly publication we call Classroom Notes. The idea is to utilize the Moveable Type interface to make it relatively easy for teachers to publish timely information about their classrooms.

Has some interesting features including the ability to save and share routes. Click on any of the markers for your route and see how far this point is from the start and what the estimated time would be for a given speed.

From time to time I also will take the bus and i have found the Tri-Met Transit Ticker to be a great tool. All TriMet buses have GPS units, and the Transit Ticker gives real time arrival information for any particular stop.
