Winter Update
I continue to serve as the Principal of Mabel Rush Elementary School in Newberg, Oregon. We have been busy dealing with Covid. At some point I’ll share more. I appreciate the work of our students, families, and staff as we navigate the challenges of the pandemic.
Summer 2020
Except for social media that I have linked to this site, I have not added to this site in well over a year. In that time I have taken the principal position at Mabel Rush Elementary School in Newberg, Oregon. After 3 years in a central office role, It has been great to be back in a school on a daily basis and working to support the students and staff of an elementary school. Throw in a pandemic response, and planning for opening the new school year in a distance learning mode, it has been quite a year.
I am planning on adding to this site on a more regular basis and look forward to sharing the experience of this very different, but also very exciting new school year.

EdSpaces
In Evergreen School District we are working on building some new schools. As part of this process we are looking into furniture for the new buildings, and also replacement furniture for a few other buildings. With this in mind, I had the opportunity to attend the EdSpaces conference. EdSpaces is an annuale conference that focuses on classroom design and classroom furniture. I found the sessions to be very informative and, unlike other conferences, I found the vendor exhibit area to be very engaging.
